Can Someone See If You View Their Instagram Profile Picture?

Instagram does not provide a list of people who viewed a profile picture. Opening a profile or looking at its profile photo is different from viewing a Story.

Profile picture views do not create a viewer list

Instagram has viewer lists for Stories, but not for ordinary profile or profile-picture views. InstaZoomer also does not connect the lookup to your personal Instagram account.

What can still be visible?

Actions taken inside Instagram—such as following an account, liking a post or sending a message—can create visible notifications. Simply using the profile picture viewer does not perform those actions.
